My photo from ‘the park’ today is of my young canine friend who accompanies me on most of my walks there. It seems appropriate to share a picture of her as this year-long journey through a Leeds park is as much her story as mine.
At the beginning of this year I was the proud owner of two very old cross-breed dogs, now just one is enjoying his remaining days with us.
Inspired therefore by my long walks around the park and often going alone, I decided to get a younger, fitter dog. I had a Labrador once before, my first dog as an adult who was a wonderful companion, living to nearly 16yrs, after him came many other dogs. Although I never thought though that I would get another labrador.
Imagine therefore my delight when a local dog rescue came up with this beauty. The rest is history the age-old dog story, great companion, lots of exercise for me (never enough for the dog) and hopefully lots of fun and adventure for years ahead for our little family.
